Allah isn't the God of Jews & Christians
The standard Muslim claim is that because someone has submitted to God, then he must be a Muslim. However this is not a complete definition - for the God to be the same God in different religions, then he must have the same attributes. Muslims claim that Jesus was a Muslim as He submits to God, and a common way of showing this is that Jesus prayed like Muslims prayed - prostrating, with His face on the ground. This statement is true, as that is one way that Jesus did pray:
Matthew 26:39
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."
The problem arises with the latter half of the verse, where Jesus calls God His Father, which is forbidden in Islam. The names and attributes of Allah are restricted to those from the Quran & Sunnah, ie what Allah names himself or Mohammad named him. Father is not one of these. Within Islam, Muslims are the slaves/servants of Allah, while in the Bible, Jews & Christians are Gods children and God is their Father. This is not an isolated incident within the Old Testament - many major prophets (such as Moses) all call God their Father. Several examples of each shown below:
From the Quran:
Quran 29:56
O My believing servants! My earth is truly spacious, so worship Me ˹alone˺.
Quran 5:18
The Jews and the Christians each say, "We are the children of Allah and His most beloved!" Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ "Why then does He punish you for your sins? No! You are only humans like others of His Own making. He forgives whoever He wills and punishes whoever He wills. To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything in between. And to Him is the final return."
Contrasting the Quran calling his follows servants verses what the previous prophets say:
The Prophet Moses - Deuteronomy 32:6
Is this the way you repay the Lord, you foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, who made you and formed you?
The Prophet Isaiah - Isaiah 64:8
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
The Prophet Malachi - Malachi 2:10
Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God create us? Why do we profane the covenant of our ancestors by being unfaithful to one another?
Prophets of the Jews confirm that God the Father is indeed their Father, which is continued & confirmed by Jesus & His disciples. The Quran is quite clear that Allah is against this concept.

Rebuttal: The Bible is corrupted and cannot be trusted.
Response: Visit the topic "The Islamic Dilemma" to get an in depth look at this question. The only conclusion that comes from a corrupted Bible is that Islam is false.
A Christians View
This point about God's name is central. The idea of God as a loving Father is the heart of the Christian faith. Jesus taught his followers to pray:
Matthew 6:9
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name
This isn't just a title; it signifies a deep, personal, and loving relationship. In Christianity, believers are not seen merely as servants or slaves, but as adopted and beloved children of God:
John 1:12
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
This is a firm contradiction that is explicitly spelled out in the Quran. Allah is not your father, Allah is the same God as Jews & Christians.
